Shaconage (Sha-co-NAH-hey) is the English interpretation of the ancient Cherokee description of the magnificent Blue Ridge & Smoky Mountains. Land of the Blue Smoke is, of course, the ancient land of the Cherokee, Tsalagi, the fire people.
The story is set in the time of Tsalagi before Europeans arrived and will incorporate ancient Cherokee stories and legends. The story is not about cultural appropriate but, rather, about honoring, revering & celebrating the magnificent stories & history of the Cherokee people as well as our ancient mountains, the oldest in the world.
